Recod.ai research is awarded at international event

Research guided by professors Paula Costa, from Recod.ai, and Leticia Rittner, both from the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Unicamp, won third place in the Grand Challenge on Hyperspectral Skin Vision.

The challenge, held by the main conference in the field of Signal Processing (ICASSP) in the world, awarded the Rainbow.AI team, formed by master's student Ana Clara Caznok Silveira and doctoral students Diedre do Carmo and Lucas Ueda. The award was awarded last Wednesday (17) in South Korea.

The challenge encourages teams to develop algorithms to detect skin anomalies or diseases automatically, using a simple cell phone camera. For this, hyperspectral image reconstruction techniques are used.

This was the Brazilian team's first participation in the challenge, being finalists among 51 teams from around the world. Rainbow.Ai has the support of Eldorado Institute.
